Breeding conditions:

Many wandering Arctic Foxes were seen, their productivity was low (1 and 3 pups in two dens). Pomarine Skuas and Snowy Owls did not nest in the area. The Rough-legged Buzzard breeding density (0.06 nest/km2) and success were low. Grey Plovers and Dunlins nested at a high density: 2.6 pair/km2 and 22.2 pair/km2 respectively. Densities of Temminck's Stint, Red-necked and Red Phalaropes Phalaropus fulicarius were typical for the area: 7.4, 6, and 34 pair/km2 respectively. Precise data on wader reproductive success are not available, but it can be evaluated as average.
